Surrey Casino Online, Town by Town

Surrey is six towns wearing one city's name, so nearby depends on where you start. Pick your town centre and the list below re-sorts itself. Distances are straight lines on a map, not roads. Surrey's own casino room sits in Cloverdale, and the rest are over a city line.

    Elements Casino Surrey · Cloverdale

Cloverdale's casino, and what changed there

Elements Casino Surrey is at 17755 60 Ave, Surrey, BC V3S 1V3, in Cloverdale. The phone number is (604) 576-9141. Inside are more than 500 slots and electronic table games. Live tables include Blackjack, Four Card Poker, Baccarat, Roulette and a Texas Hold'em game. Hours are not listed on this page, so check the venue's own page first.

The racetrack here opened in 1976 as Cloverdale Raceway and was renamed Fraser Downs in 1996. After a renovation, the casino reopened as Elements Casino in December 2015.

Harness racing ended on August 15, 2025. The City of Surrey, which owns the grounds, ended the lease to redevelop the fairgrounds area. The casino itself was not affected.

Ownership is next to change. On March 9, 2026, Great Canadian Entertainment announced an agreement to sell Elements. The buyer is the Se-mi-ah-mu Development Corporation, the economic development arm of Semiahmoo First Nation. Closing still needs regulatory approvals and a nod from the City of Surrey, which owns the land.

    Before you drive anywhere

You need to be 19 or older. That is the legal age for casinos in British Columbia.

Since June 26, 2023, every person entering a B.C. casino shows government-issued photo ID. Security scans it and checks it against the list of people restricted from entering, such as those in Game Break. For people let in, the system does not save personal information.

Accepted ID includes a B.C. or North American driver's licence, a BCID, a B.C. Services Card, or a Canadian or international passport. Citizenship cards, permanent resident cards and Secure Certificate of Indian Status cards also work. Band membership cards from First Nations, Metis or Inuit bands count too, as does government-issued foreign ID.

Settle on a spending limit and a time to leave while you are still at home. Both are easier to keep when decided before the drive.

    About the online button

The Play from home button goes to an online casino run by a partner, not by this site. It is not PlayNow, and it is not run by the province. The partner can change. This site earns a commission when people use the link.

PlayNow.com is a different thing: the province's own online gambling site, run by BCLC. Nobody pays this site to mention it.

    Questions

    Is this site a casino?

No, this site is not a casino. It takes no bets and has no accounts. It is an independent guide to the rooms around Surrey, written from the outside.

Is there still horse racing in Cloverdale?

Harness racing at Fraser Downs ended on August 15, 2025. The City of Surrey, which owns the grounds, ended the lease to redevelop the area. The casino was not affected.

Is Elements closing because of the sale?

The March 2026 agreement is a change of owner, from Great Canadian Entertainment to the Se-mi-ah-mu Development Corporation. Nothing in the announcement says the casino is closing. The sale still needs regulatory approvals and the City of Surrey.

Why straight-line distance and not driving distance?

Roads and routes vary too much to print one fair number. A straight line from each town centre gives a fixed comparison. Check your actual route yourself before leaving.

What ID does the casino door ask for?

You need government-issued photo ID, which security scans at every B.C. casino. A B.C. or North American driver's licence, BCID, B.C. Services Card or passport all work. You must also be 19 or older.

Where does the Play from home button go?

It goes to an online casino run by a partner, not this site and not PlayNow. The partner can change, and the site earns a commission from the link.
